PeerStorage is an online data-storage protocol that lets you build services without servers.
It is meant to replace the HTTP and HTTPS protocols.

"Cloud" service

For each service, every user connects to a central server that holds all of their data. That server usually belongs to a company, which can rely on various business models — including exploiting its users' data.

PeerStorage service

Each user contributes part of their local storage and bandwidth to others. Everyone's data is stored encrypted and with redundancy by their peers. Only the owner holds the key to decrypt it. They may share that key so that other users can access their data (messaging, social network, blog).
